Lurking no more...
« on: April 16, 2008, 11:06:44 AM »
Greetings all!

I am 45 and live in York, PA, USA.  I work as a Toolmaker for Harley Davidson.

I have a "Dr Dude" pinball and I Mamed a "Xenophobe" cabinet about 8 years ago.

I just scored a gutted "Gauntlet Legends" cab that can house a 33" monitor for my new Mame machine.

I have been lurking here for about a year.  I decided it was time to support the effort.

Type at ya later!

I had a website about my addiction a long time ago when I went by the handle "Phydeaux Brigands".

http://web.archive.org/web/20031008212305/closet2mame.vg-network.com/index.htm

It started out about restoring a "Galaxian" machine and converting a "Xenophobe" to Mame.  It has lots of pictures.  As you can see, it is in the old "Archive" area.

The Download section is also interesting.
I started the "Marquee" and "Screenshot" libraries for MAME32, but I soon became too overworked and others took them over.

You can also find several utilities that I wrote to manage your ROM directories.  Someone rewrote them and they became the basis for Clrmame.

The "Stories" section is my favorite.  This section was for people to tell their hardcore video junkie stories.

I got in trouble because of the bandwidth I was using.  They wanted to charge me and I didn't want to advertise.  So I let the site die off.  I might have to resurect it while I Mame this Gauntlet maching.  Hmmmmm.
