Well........The problem that I have with that fix is that you actually recreate the original situation, which means that the whole corroding/charring/burning process starts again. Yes you can argue that it will take another 30 years to become that bad again, and you can claim that cabs at collectors don't make the hours like they did in the arcades BITD but still......there is simply too much current running through that edge connector.
I am more tempted to make an external jumper connector with nice thick wire and connectors that can handle the load. did this for the Linar Lander already and it works like a charm.
However, I WILL replace the old edge connector on the harness and brighten up the edge fingers just as well...
