Hi.

I'm offering mounting plates for joysticks. These are made to be glued underneath a metal or plastic controlpanel, if you want to avoid wood. You can then install your joystick without any visible screws on top. You don't need to drill your controlpanel, no screwheads can be seen. The threads (size M5) are welded to the plate.

The distance between the threads is 85 and 40mm. Some joysticks (i.E. Seimitsu LS-32) already have matching holes in their mounting plate. Others can be modified by drilling the necessary holes.

The plates are industrial made of stainless steel and include 4 washers and 4 self-locking nuts (M5)....all made of stainless steel.
They were made by accident by a friend and we try to sell them for small money so he gets the money back that he spent for them.

I have used silicone adhesive to glue the plate to a metal sheet. It's the cheapest method. If you want to go the more expensive way you can use 2-component glue to make that even an elephant can play on your game ;)

One plate (incl. washers and nuts) is €3.00

Shipping from Germany is €3.45 (or €5.60 including tracking and insurance).
I'm sure I can send more for the same money, have to check the weight.

Payment with Paypal.

Any questions? Don't hesitate to ask! :)

How to install:

Make sure the undersurface(?) of your controlpanel is clean.
Center the plate using the hole with the hole in your controlpanel.

Make sure that the plate is sitting straight on your controlpanel by measuring the distance to the edge at least at two corners.

Use a pen to draw the edges of the plate on the surface of the controlpanel. This will help to adjust the plate and you don't have to measure again (this is important if you want to use some glue that dries very fast).

Then add a decent amount of glue to the surface of the controlpanel

SORRY, I have NO CLUE AT ALL why the following two pictures are blurry  :dunno
But I think you get the idea.

Put the plate on the glue. Adjust and center it with the rectangle and the joystick hole in the panel and....let it try.
If necessary put some weight on top of the threads but take care that the plate doesn't 'slide' away (this happened on my first try  ::) )

I will install some sticks (modified to match the thread bolts) and will show them mounted to the plate and then of course the controlpanel surface with an overlay installed :)

Hi guys.

Somehow I have lost one of the screws in the Journey joystick. The guy who sandblasted the metal parts (I had left the screws inside to be sandblasted as well) shot one of them out of the base...my guess. We dug the sand but nothing  ::)

Normally I'm not very anal about screws. I simply use another. In this case it's not a metric thread so I need to cut a new thread. Having ONE different screw besides all other being original is lame. Replacing all the screws with metric screws is no option....yet.

So I'm looking for such a screw. With washer, but of course will take single screw as well :)

It's a #8-32x5/16 Slot Hex Head.

If you have one and are willing to sell, let me know :)

Guys, I don't know if you ever watched "The Voice" or "The Voice Kids". I dislike DSDS, the german version if American Idol, a lot. But I LOVE The Voice. Because it's all about the singing. No silly fools, just extraordinary talented people/kids.

And sometimes there are magic moments.

Listen to this 'battle' from "The Voice Kids": Jasmin vs. Richard. I'm a man, I am 45, but I don't feel ashamed to say: I CRIED !

Now close your eyes and listen:

'Business' Area : Buy/Sell/Trade / WTB: Shuffleshot
« on: March 28, 2014, 11:05:22 AM »
Hi folks.

Anyone ever heard of that game? It's a Shuffleboard game. Since my Simpsons Bowling is not working and the game seems to be crap anyway....I have been told that Shuffleshot is a great party game for up to four players (alternating).

If you have a PCB for sale, let me know :)

'Business' Area : Buy/Sell/Trade / WTB: t-nuts 3/8-16
« on: February 19, 2014, 12:00:54 PM »
Hi.

I need some of these t-nuts. Their size is 3/8-16...the same thread as the leg levellers have. I need those to be screwed to the wood.

Does somebody know where I can get them or does even have some? I could use 4.

I have found sources in USA (of course  ::) ) but again, the shipping costs are insane ($14 for the t-nuts, $48 for the postage). Or at amazon.com but they don't ship outside USA.

Thanks :)

'Business' Area : Buy/Sell/Trade / WTB: control panel latches
« on: January 27, 2014, 09:07:57 AM »
Hi.

Since removing the contropanel of my Guided Missile is a pita, I'd like to install two common latches to install/remove the controlpanel.

Example here:

picture borrowed at ultracabs.co.uk

Or similiar.

If you have two of them laying around and want to get rid of them, please let me know :)

Thanks
Luigi

I was told it's only the DVD-drive that is not working....PCB doesn't show a pic at all so I guess it's dead. Someone has one for sale? Working preferred ;)

'Business' Area : Buy/Sell/Trade / For Sale: Atari Dominos
« on: October 02, 2013, 09:56:37 AM »
Due to lack of space I had to decide which one of THESE TWO MACHINES I have to let go. I decided to keep the Guided Missile.

So DOMINOS from Atari is for sale. I have plugged it in and not much happened, I think I only saw the marquee light. The seller told me that our 'technician' Klaus-Peter once repaired the PCB. I did no look further.

Given the age (it's from 1977) the condition is very good, the controlpanel need a new overlay or painting (some of the black artwork is rubbed away).

Asking 200€.

Tyrem will pick up some cabs from us on saturday. Don't know if he has space left in his van and could bring it to Bitburg where the stuff from container #3 is in storage and where some guys will meet for pickup. If someone's interested in the Dominos I can ask Stefan if he could bring it there.

Thanks for reading :)

Anyone got the instruction sticker for Simpsons Bowling? The one below the monitor on the plastic bezel?

And/or the manual?  ::)

I have bought two new cabs for our 'exhibition' :)

Midway's Guided Missile & Atari's Dominos

Both from 1977.....amazing, jawdropping. The Guided Missile has a huge 'plastic ladscape' and a plexi with printed explosions and two bulbs behind them.....so awesome...I can't wait to see it running :)

Condition is good, Guided Missile is missing the feet and has some minor water damage. Sidearts are great. Controlpanels will need some clean and Dominos might need some new overlay. The black colour around the buttons for the right player are completeley gone (according to KLOV-pictures).

I didn't have the time to plug them in, yet. Due to lack of space they're now in my parent's garage. But I hope that two cabs will leave our gameroom in the near future so we can bring them in.

When I looked into the back of Guided Missile I saw a strange obstacle I have never seen before in a videogame (or anywhere else) and I thought 'WTF?'. Looks like an antenna into outer space  :D

Enjoy the pics:

Arcade Lifestyle / Hoch much (valuation) for an Atari Dominos ?
« on: August 22, 2013, 09:39:47 AM »
Could get a Dominos from Atari. Haven't seen it yet. Seller's reliable and says it's in good condition. He didn't test it and I believe him.

What would you guys think is it worth?

Is it an easy job to replace the b/w-monitor if it's not working and cannot be saved?
