Greetings from the Netherlands (again)
« on: August 15, 2009, 12:56:59 AM »
Hi Arcade collectors,

I discovered this wonderful website a couple of months ago and I'm really enjoying it!
As a little kid I always had the dream of owning an arcade cabinet myself and I guess dreams can come true;)
I'm now the proud owner of 2 generic cabs with a couple of pcb's and my first dedicated cab (a Rolling Thunder) is on it's way.

It has been really inspiring, fun and not forget informative to read all your story's and i hope to make some good ones myself soon.

Greetings,

Gyruss

Thanks guys.

It's nice to see there are more people from the Netherlands active on this site.
May I ask you which cabs you own?

@DarthNuno:
Gyruss is indeed one of my favorite games, too bad I only get to play it on a 48-1 >:(
Your roadtrip story on Rolling Thunder was really inspiring! In two weeks this baby will be mine. ;D

I already knew you got a world champion in your middle, what a sic score! It seems he has got the same problem with the CPO as I'm going to have.

I forget to mention that I also have a dedicated Simpsons cab in my house which is owned by a friend of mine.
It's quite a nice cab but there are some problems with the wiring of the controls, I'll post some pictures soon.

I don't own any cabs here, for now i just play all i like in MAME.

Some day i want to build a cab or bartop from scratch, just not sure yet what kind.

but it has to play more than only one game, so i minimal need a extra button if it will be a DK  8)

perhaps i can use this CP art but than only a one player setup

A dedicated section? well, why not? Let me see what I can do... but an other solution would be you to list your games in your own signature?  ;)

Yeah, i think for some persons it will be too long, and also there is no room for everything, like serialnumbers, details etc.

I dont know if its possible to have locked topics, so that only the "owner" can add / edit ?

my first dedicated cab (a Rolling Thunder) is on it's way.

Awesome!  ;D

It seems he has got the same problem with the CPO as I'm going to have.

You will be in luck soon!

I have vectorised the top part of the CPO (the same as the US one), just need to halftone one final bit (the massive light blue lines). Still need Bruno to scan the bottom (front facing) part of the CPO to be able to properly finish it. Got a bit sidetracked with the arrival of the Egret II.
