Cirqus Voltaire - Road Trip in Paris *including* a visit to NEO LEGEND shop

thanks to everyone for enjoying the shop, we do our best to make the arcade accessible to people who don't know anything in electronics, that's why you see so much japanese cabinets.
We like and sell every type of arcade cabinets but we think that the japanese cabinets are simplest and more reliable.
I will post pictures of the stock tomorrow we got some "exotic" cabinets to show and we are expecting in a month a container full of japanese kiddie cabinets
By the way maverick you know about japanese games and that's great, i will post some pics for you of the full kit NOS of the CPS changer of capcom, i know you will like it it's a rare item even in japan.
The laseractive is a common player in Japan but some games like Time Gal and Road blaster are very hard to find.
I will ask for your cable and get a quote no problem we like to help

Another thing i found today a Laser disc player pionneer PR 8020 with astron belt disc , thing is that there is no info about this model anywhere (including DLP and Laserdiscarchive), it's the same than the PR 7820. Has anyone ever see this model?

  It's a TANK!!!!! I love the design

Bruno you really know what you want, you should have told me for the cirqus voltaire i really like this game too i've seen it 2 days ago in Mr Riddler gameroom that's a great choice, i am actually fixing the games with greg for the Koh Lanta, there is a lot of thing to do we got like 10 monitors to fix and some pcb to replace but our technicians are already working on it , they are just great!!!! I really want to show you there store
I hope to meet you again there and i will make a report of the restoration project, there is some great games to show to other collectors.

Well, I never saw this model but I guess it was used in the first Astron belt machines to use a Pioneer laserdisc player. Years ago, a local operator here in Italy told me a story about one of his games. Back in the 80s he had a Astron belt cockpit which operated with a white Pioneer LDP. He told me that later he replaced that player with a Pioneer LD-V1000. I always found very odd what he said because I knew of no Pioneer white players used in Astron belt and then replaceable with a LD-V1000. Well, I guess you found one now ! Was the Astron belt disc inside the player ? It is working ? It would be interesting to see if it's LD-V1000 compatible...

Yes, sorry, I meant beige.

I would really like to make it work could you help me?

Without working directly on the player, it's a too difficult task.

Do you think i could use it in my Space Ace?

If it was working yes, but it is not recommended if you want a reliable system.
Use a conversion card instead : http://wood1st.com/LaserCon/

Anyway the LDP does not power up what should i do?

Keep it as it is :)

i already have a high tech conversion card and sony ldp 2000
Thing is that i really like it, do you think it is not possible?
I know good technicians but they might need some infos or diagrams.
Electronics parts looks really clean it's a shame not to use it or see it power up

First of all, the player seems to be a japanese model. It runs on 100 V AC. In order to test it, you need a stepdown transformer which outputs at least 100 W of power.
If it doesn't power on, I'd start checking the main fuses near the main transformer input. Since it is very similar to the PR-7820, I guess you can use its schematics as a reference. You have a power supply problem there.
Your pics show that the optic block has been left opened. The optics have been exposed to dust and dirt so they are in need of a good cleanup for sure. And let's hope no one messed with them trying to adjust something when the player stopped working.
But if you don't get the player powering up, don't even bother about the optics and leave it as it is.
Well, if you ever come to Italy, bring the player with you and pay me a visit, ok ? :)
Good luck,

Matteo

Well I think that to be true that the Sega aero cab being the 1st of the candy cabs has made the history

All the others are just

I like anyway the net version for his design but apart from that the 1st is always the first (like the 1st Dragon's lair)

No problem

I wait you
