Zamoth & Olisan told me last month they played that game in Japan...and now here's the video that proves it!!!
More details guys, pleasr!  :P ;)

Wow, can't wait to play it (let's hope soon available in mame or rom upgrade...)

Indeed Vigilante was the "official" sequel. Seems after finalisation of "Kung Fu Master 2", Irem decided that they wanted a more "american" game, thus moving forward to Vigilante.

Like the guy said it looks more like a reboot than a proper sequel.
Anyway, great find!!! it's amazing it's been lost for so long and it's only resurfacing now.

BITD what I found really cool in Vigilante was that you had to rescue "Madonna" (from the skinheads!).
(Now I understand it's just supposed to be the firstname of your girlfriend, but back then I thought you had to rescue the "real" Madonna.  ;D)
So I found the "interaction" of the real world coming inside a video game just awesome!
Madonna was the s**t back then, it was simply the coolest girl to save in the whole universe.

I was thinking exaclty the same back then, when I played VIGILANTE!  ;D

Because SPARTAN X2 looks very similar than the first episode, can we presume it runs on the same hardware?
How cool it would be to have a Spartan / Spartan 2 'dual game' on the same board (like Star Wars/ESB)  :P

one of my favorite game, this story is incredible
can't wait it came to mame

let's dream for 2 or 3 minutes,

imagine it can run on the same hardware ...

if i can find the mame set i 'will try to convert an Kung fu master in kung fu master 2

it's totaly insane !!!

just saw on UKVAC that the guys in the Mame-forum said it was not submitted to them so far and the board seems to be damaged now.

Need to check in my DD, will show you some exclusive pics ^^

And yes it's more a Spartan X 1.5 than a real sequel.

As i know:
- the roms are dumped
- the PCB has a reboot problem the week we try it. It's probably a technical issue, not a roms issue.
- as i remember, the PCB don't have specific components so a "convert" might be possible.

Will see the owner again next month, so i'll ask about mame release.
