That's a lot better than I expected. Designer stuff is usually very expensive. Try to find a good quality stool for that money, pretty hard for sure....not a bad price at all IMHO. They are really nice IMHO.

agreed! i was expecting more myself, but was happily surprised. i also like quite a few other items from their collection, so i'm pretty sure this hasn't been the last time i've dealt with them :)

Please do.  Then I can bring the designer  stuff to you when I collect the frog!   ;D

Nice grab! Looks to be in good shape. Is that red finish original or did someone repaint it? Looks to have a heavy texture or is it the photos?

Those benches are SUPER cool. I like!!

I found some really inexpensive vintage 70s bowling alley type leather (fake?) chairs. They sit super low and are an amazing fit for the Red Tent. Found them at a flea market.

afaik it's the original finish. and YES you're right, pretty heavy texture on the machine!

Maybe the metal is rusting under the paint, like happens with the coin-doors ? The one's from the "Stena line" lot may have seen som salty sea air even though they were never on board. I start to doubt this though, there's enough wear on both your and Gyruss's machine to safely say they have seen at least some use. Maybe they were used for a while and later removed....

Those chairs are awesome too John, really like that style !

There ya go....

Looking at Ully's pictures again I don't think that that is rust.....it is way too even to be rust. So John, is yours not textured ?

I can't imagine the texture to be rust, it looked way to good for that

It isn't rust, it is texture.

Maybe the red tents were bolted to the floor with a steel bar or something, that's why the holes are there. Remember, they were used on a ship where all heavy stuff needs to be bolted to the deck so no passengers can get hurt in rough weather by tumbling red tents!  :)

Mine has a slight texture, I think. Maybe it's the lighting in the photos that is making it look super textured. Dunno!

some update / useful information for the nintendo vs system owners out there! i had quite a few mainboards, ppus and roms, BUT only a limited number of cpus. they have gone up in price recently, clocking in at 15 bucks per chips at mike's arcade. add shipping to that and you'll have to pay some serious money for a few chips. so i did some searching on the internet and found exactly what i've been looking for at our favorite chinese marketplace: alibaba! shipping was free, so i thought i could give it a try and ordered five ppus for a total of 25 euros. you can do the maths: that's 5 euros per chip :P

yesterday a package arrived

no customs fees - value too low ;D

here the are - 5 chips as ordered

of course the big question was: will they work? after all, they are from china plus i've heard that sometimes cpus work, sometimes they don't, depending on the rom set and the motherboard. so i installed them on my vs tennis first and voila

put two more on vs balloon fight with the same result: fully working! perhaps that information will come handy for some of your guys, it certainly did the trick for me ... :spaceace: :spaceace: :spaceace:
all i need is ... PONG - and a select few others: TOUCH ME, DRAGON'S LAIR, JOUST, ROBOTRON, MR DO, SAN FRANCISCO RUSH THE ROCK!!!

That is pretty cool ! You can even erase a game to burn a new one if you do not like it.
You should download all the ROM before copyright restriction appear.
