Are you sure? LOL, then my caps are really crap!!   They don't show an AC ripple, but AC waves!   Or there is something wrong with my test setup (I measured the values also with another multimeter, same results). Anyway, pictures say more then words:

The grey one on the bottom:



So, replacement is in order? Unfortunatley I couldn't find what the capacity/voltage of these are. Does someone know? Or is there anyone with a Qix who can measure theirs, I can't believe that mine are that way off!

Side question, how are the little grey 'caps' on the next picture called and what do they do?

Those values are impossible. I guess your meter is confused.....you need a better one

Looks like your meter is autosensing, so its actually measuring DC now..

do you have a manual of that meter, perhaps there is a way to force measuring AC.

Both my meters give the same result.

Thanks,  I thought that transistors were far more flat,  smaller and mostly black. These must be old type of models.

There are many different packages for transistors

I have this one, very pleased with it, and it has separate DC and DC so not auto sensing.

I know its not a fluke, but it never has let me down, and the price for this 2e hand is very reasonable, i know that i payed alot more Retail..

EDIT, i looked wrong, i have the Metex M3800, but it looks almost the same, so i guess the features are also the same
