in the meantime i was able to paint the second part of the seat assembly



Plan for tomorrow:
-install the lower wood part on the back
-install 4 small wood pieces that support the monitor glass and the motor pcb.
-welding the seat base and paint it
-clean the wire harness

Plan for Tuesday:
-road trip

This was one of the many games that stayed way too long in the workshop for maintenance instead of on location because it was so addictive to play.We couldn't turn it loose and always found little knick knacks to fix.
 
If i remember well, it has a very special brakeswitch.One that measured brakeforce by the stretch of a metal strip inside the pedal.Unlike anything else we had seen before.

As far I can see and have heard my machine broke just a copule of time.
The first was a welding failure under the seat, the second when someone stole the shifter knob and finaly the ribbon cable that link all the pcbs toghether.

the metal thing you talk about is a strain gauge and it measure the force you put on the brake. There is a second one on the shifter lever!!!!

No great news today, spent the day looking for the item that threads hole... finding the request part wasn't easy, but now the shifter is in place

Friday I will make some holes and start putting something toghether for real!!!

Ok I had some time to work on it again!!!

I'm really not impressed with the paint job I have done, I have used waterpaint and if I try to clean the side with just a piece of paper (something like a kleenex) the paper turn black (just a little) and I can see where I used the paper, any idea?

I had installed almost all electronic parts and quite ready to fire it up, I have just a loose wire, but looking at schematics seem it's just a second connector for coin switch, no sense but whatever

I sent the dashboard art out for printing I will get it early next week.

Waterpaint    i think there is your problem..
IMHO waterpaint sucks big time, i always avoid it, and use good old oilbased paint..

No thanks, i also have received them from someone..  I have not done anything to the files, so it could be that the colors are not correct
