Space Invaders - Cocktail - Anybody speaking Japanese?

Hi folks,

I have a taito cocktail with a japanese instruction. One is missing.

I could scan it, but best would be do reproduce it in Indesign. However I'm lacking japanese and while I changed my PC keyboard to Japanese I searching like an idiot for the correct expressions.

Could anybody help me out in sending me a textfile with the correct words? should be an easy task - even for non japanese native speakers ;-)

You want this as plain-text UTF-8 characters? I can do that if you like. I can also convert the katakana to ASCII for use with the appropriate designfonts (there is no logic in that conversion, but I made a tool for it).

yes. I need the Kitana as word or plain text file to add this into Adobe Indesign for reproducing the inlay instructions.

Note that it is VERY HARD to find a font that looks the same and contains the whole KANJI set!

As you see I used the fixed-with alphabet set for letters, numbers and punctuation. It is important, if you just type it with your keyboard, the alignment will be wrong.
And you can copy the horse for the scoring from the first text, it is in there too.

I use an OCR tool for it, and then repair the result by hand, as many characters go wrong, especially the alphabet and number ones, and the accents on the Katakana! The japanese had a pretty good hit rate on this text. I had to manually look up 3 characters.

I wonder if you can find any of the fonts. BTW the RED one is Eurostile.

Why are you against the easiest option: a very high definition scan of it and some cleaning of the obvious scratches in photoshop?
As they are silkscreened they scan pretty well (no moiré pattern effect).

Even better, if you don't mind the scratches, just go to a copy shop and make a color copy of your card.
Actually make two and use them both so that you'll have 2 cards with the colors perfectly matching (as well as the scratches of course ).

If you can provide the high def scan, I'd be happy to clean up the file for you if you want to.
