I think...
223 : type number (Ex. PACMAN,Galaga,Galaxian3 )
205 : S/N (this is 205th)
if it is number 205 for a total of 223, we often use "205 / 223" .
Ikke said,
"this is Asset management number, I think.
I often see this panel with a Game machines other than made by Namco at Game center of Namco.
and I don't see this panel with Game machines by Namco at Game center that is not Namco."
...so I presume it's not the true serial number of this Theater, but only a kind of 'inventory' number given to all the game located in some Namco Game Center

Ok, that's interesting anyway... I got this Theater in Belgium and I know it was Namco UK who assembled it back in these days. So maybe Namco Japan sent the Theater directly to Belgium and required official Namco technicians to come from Uk (I don't thing there was any official Namco office in Belgium) in order to assemble it ? Anyway, I have the email of one of the two technicians in UK who assembled my theater so many years ago

I'll send him a mail with a link to this topic, maybe he can help us on this

An other thing that can prove my G3 is a Japanese model : I have several pictures of Galaxian Theater coming from US, by example this one :

...and as you can see, the outside colors are blue &
grey ... but my Theater's colors are blue &
yellow, like the pictures I saw from Galaxian Theater in Japan... by exemple the one of Ikke and his friend (maybe it you, Tom#2, the second owner of the 'beast' ?

)

Blue & Yellow.
Many thanks for all these precious informations

...the story is not over of course
