This is getting out of hand.....we need some REAL arcade machines, those you need to restore with wood filler, have to sand and paint, need to put nice artwork on, need to fix the monitor and PCB off and not those lazy plastic machines without any real artwork that the worst work you have to do on is running a damp cloth over....sigh.....Where is Ully when you need him for another magical "restore from the ashes" ??

Ok.....Im guilty and need to get on with some projects too......now what do I need ?  Hmmmmm TIME !

Had to work today and just arrived home.....There goes half the weekend again.....tonight a birthday party, tomorrow another one.....sigh sigh sigh.....

Cool, i like those sega cabinets very much, are those maqruees/toppers official?

No. You can get them at ebay. They come withh a chain because they are supposed to hang. Just remove the chain, place the acryl sign the other way round in the light unit and voila, you have a 'topper'. They are great for in a gameroom.

My good friend......you are trying to talk Hell's Angels into riding a Suzuki bike.....

No offense but I seriously dislike any Anime stuff....I never understood it and never will in fact....I feel it's on a kinda weird scale to some extend........huge tits and baby faces....mmmmm....

That life force one is OK though...

No offense taken, i'm not into lollipop or anime either, it just shows that there's art on Japanese cabs.

But you kinda must like the crazy taxi marquee, don't you? That's still a naomi candy cab, so i have good hopes we can welcome you to our special club in the future.  ;D ;)

I'm sure you're going to love it and take back those bad words about them not being real arcade machines.  ;)

100 YEN: The Japanese Arcade Experience

A documentary about the Arcades in Japan and the people who live there.

Not sure if this was posted before, but here's the trailer: http://vimeo.com/15861064

But that Crazy Taxi isn't a candy right ? It's metal, it's upright (not sit-down, OK, there is a "butt-support" on the racers sometimes but it's a full-height machine), it doesn't have gay colored buttons and joysticks....

O well whatever, I probably am going to try some candies soon.....let me go there open minded, well as open minded as I can be. Ad you're right, they are arcade machines, I didn't meant that that way....:)

Oh and I love that fat bass speaker...been thinking about mounting something like that inside mynSW cockpit seat....:)

Just posting something so my avatar shows up.

Just finished a run on Ibara (baby blue side ;-) ) Perfect 20 minute adrenaline rush, which I find very comfortable to blend in with my busy real life madness.
Why is it prefect....because Cave hits the nail hard when it comes to the core property *every* game should have: a perfect risk/reward balance.

Pieter, enjoy mastering those Cave games for the rest of your life. You'll still love your 80's cabs, it's just you'll be playing them less and less and .... ;-)
current line up: 3 x New Astro City 2x Atomiswave SD, 3 x Aero (2 NOS) and Aero Table
Pac Man
Black Knight pinball
On the way: Daytona USA

Otomedius.   like a konami  parodius rebirth,      the arcade is uncommon. it's a tactile screen.  there's a port on xbox360.

lol,

Woodies and candies can co-exist :)  As mentioned above they are just neon sega signs bought off ebay and hot glued to the back, i like them, just about the one thing im not keen on candys is the plastic official type marquees.

I like the candys for sf3 4 etc and a vert candy with a cave shmup is just pure joy! These days i find myself playing cave on the vert more then anything.

dedicateds, generic woody jammas, candies, are all welcome in my house!
Its all about the scanlines.....

My god that must be the ugliest production machine I've seen in my life....I thought it was some hacked-up thing with a PC inside...

It got my intention for sure, but not because of some cartoon boobies...
