What to do with weird postage fee on Ebay?

Bought a game on Ebay, and the original ad mentioned 20$ posting (priority) for a small game&watch game (10$ price) USA->NL
I asked the seller if he had a cheaper option (first class), and he said it was ok and that he would pick the cheapest at the PO.
Got the package, envelope had a 6.80$ stamp. But the guy never changed the fee on Ebay (I asked him to update the total), and as he did not respond, and I was getting all those anoying "you must pay now" emails, I paid the fee incl. 20$ shipping.
I asked him to refund the difference, and now he says: "how does 5$ refund sound...."
Little weird. Seems like he put the difference in his pocket as I was the only bidder and he probably expected more. Now I paid 23.20 in a way for the game.

I'm afraid there's nothing you can do but leave negative feedback where you mention that you've paid $20 for shipping and he only used a $6.80 stamp.

Thsts the way some sellers make extra money these days!! Really piss me off
If its a few $$/££ i have no problem with it, but as soon its 10+ its just plain stealing!

Reply to him "how does 10$ sound" the 3,20 is covering the effort of him trying to find a cheaper postal way.

that sounds reasonable to me.

Lets hope he accepts that.

got the same problem from a seller. He asked $40 for shipping. I told him it was excessive and he promised
to refund the difference.

I paid $40 for shipping and when I received it I found he had paid less than $20...

He didn't want to refund, not answering or telling me he wasn't at home to make a refund.

So I opened a dispute on paypal for excessive shipping fees, and also saying that the game board was deffective to make it react.

Not surprisingly, he contacted me quickly saying he would refund me if I closed the dispute since its paypal account was locked
because of the dispute.

Of course, I didn't close it and said he could refund using the dispute. If I closed the dispute, I knew he would not refund me
and I would not be able to open an other dispute.

Anyway, at the end I got my money back...

Always hate when people are not trustable.
