I think we Dutch are going after the Red Devils....
I don't bother.
Van Marwijk should have looked at the arms to know who to put in the field. Tattoos=on the couch. Come on, these players have become walking Tattoo Bob commercials since WC 2010...

But we won as well.
We are all Germans after all.

Every country has a few players like that, it´s not just The Netherlands. Apparently those full tattooed sleeves are quite popular amongst football players these days...
(not that that's a bad thing, I'm not inkless myself either :)  )

But I think Germany is the deserved winner of this match. The Netherlands only played well in the 5 minutes after the goal from Van Persie. They used to play like that for 90 minutes each game on the last World Cup, but somewhere on the way to today they've lost their groove I guess...

Yep congrats to the Germans, a deserved victory, and to me it seemed they didn't need to invest much energy for it. Just like against the Danish the Dutch looked totally numb. Ball circulation speed was too slow, and just as I predicted the defense made a couple of hue mistakes which led to both German goals and a couple mo chances.

There is something seriously wrong with their mentality that is clear enough and Van Markwijk should have started with both Huntelaar and Van Persie. Van Persie scored a brilliant goal by the way.

O well.....what's the calculations? If the Germans fulfill their duties and win against the Danes and we beat Portugal we still go on ? As a matter of fact I'd rather see them leave the EC. If the mentality is like this, they do not belong there....

I am convinced that the Dutch team as they were in 2010 would have beaten this German team but something is seriously gone kaputt....

Watching this game in a Manhattan bar was such a waste of time. I only saw one great team and on the opposite site 11 average individuals.

We will never beat Portugal, it's time to go home. The Germans play great though, I hope that they win.

I had expected the match to be more like the time after Van Persie's goal. We (our team) lost power and concentration in the 2nd half and I thought that the dutch would beat us in the remaining time...but they didn't. It was very uneffective and the dutch goal was a "one man show".

But hey, it's not impossible to beat Portugal. Danish Dynamite exploded two times after they had two goals against them. So why not win 3:1 against Portugal. OK, we have to win against Danmark, but I think we will make it. Did you see the nice scene at the end of the match when Schweinsteiger and Van Bommel stood together? I'm sure that Schweini told him to beat Portugal and that the Germans will beat Denmark  ;)

Luckily the Germans have to start for win... If they are beaten by Denmark with a difference of 2, and Portugal beats the Netherlands with 2 difference, we could get the really strange result that the Germans go home. I guess I'm going to bet 1 euro on that chance, and If I am lucky, I can buy a car afterwards.

In this case I would really need something "more effective" than beer ;)

I think the Dutch team has a motivation problem. I mean, look at how they played around the 60th minute. They were basically standing in their own half and did not even try to attack the Germans. Even Hummels nearly shot a goal by simply moving forward from the middle line directly to the goal. When the Dutch people scored, the game got interesting. I also would have expected more from the game. Let's see how this continues. IMHO the Germans have no chance against Spain for example. There was nothing to see from the nice football that we saw in the WM from the German team.
`Contrariwise,' continued Tweedledee, `if it was so, it might be; and if it were so, it would be; but as it isn't, it ain't. That's logic.'

I was really surprised by your trainer. Is he a former porn actor? He looks really "slick", with 1/3rd Asian and 1/3rd Italian. A bit like the creep they are after in the Charlies Angels movie.

haha.....I don't think he looks like a former whatever actor but "slick" is a good word. My wife likes him very much because of his black hair and the fact that he is always dressed like a model  :P

At least he seems to do a great job. I was afraid a little bit when he stepped in front from behind Jürgen Klinsmann but he has proven to be a good trainer.

Go on Jogi!!  :)
