Did you try to credit it ?

I'd be very careful. If that sound is coming from the Power Brick there maybe a bad Big Blue or even a bad diode bridge, which could both kill your main PCB.

I'm surprised it is not working. Come'on it's an Atari !  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Actually no, where's that located? - i will give it a go tomorrow....
Hehe, it could actually be pretty cool if it worked!

depends what monitor is in there. either on the left or the right of the chassis, often in combination with the focus pot!
all i need is ... PONG - and a select few others: TOUCH ME, DRAGON'S LAIR, JOUST, ROBOTRON, MR DO, SAN FRANCISCO RUSH THE ROCK!!!

Check the voltages first my friend !!!
Measure DC for the 5Volt but also AC because I wouldnt be surprised if there would still be an AC component in the 5v.......

Just measured the MC PCB and ARII PCB.... :o  Here´s the results:

MC PCB:
+5V = +3.09V
+12V = -0.71V !!!!!!!!!
-5V = -5.29V  OK

ARII PCB
-5V = -5.17V OK
+10.3V = +8.77V !!
-22V = -15.06V !!!
+22V = +15.02V !!!
+12V = -0.57V !!!!!!!!!!!!!
+36VAC = +11.48VAC !!!!!!!!!!!!!

NO WONDER THE GAME DOSEN'T RUN!!  :P :P :P :P

Any suggestion what causes this?? New big blue?? New PS??

It also doesn't look like an original Atari Power Brick ?

Just dloaded the manual, and was somewhat surpriced to see that it is actually an original Atari Power Supply!

with my limited knowledge i can tell you tha the ariiis are often the cause of problems, don't know if you have a spare one you could try ...
all i need is ... PONG - and a select few others: TOUCH ME, DRAGON'S LAIR, JOUST, ROBOTRON, MR DO, SAN FRANCISCO RUSH THE ROCK!!!

Let's start with the beginning. Are you sure you measured that AC output correctly ?

We'll have to know the output of the power brick is OK before we can blaim the AR-2.

Something you SHOULD check: The edge connector and the PCB "fingers" where it sits. The difference between the output of the +5V on the AR-2 and what you measure on the PCB is HUGE !!!

See if the connector has a TIGHT grip on the edge of the PCB, see if  there is any burning or corrosion....

As you know there is a regulation circuit that will try to up the +5V output so be careful....

The manual is pretty useless for this by the way, get (part of) the schematics:

http://arcarc.xmission.com/PDF_Arcade_Atari_Kee/Missile_Command/Missile_Command_DP-147-2nd-01A.pdf

Start measuring across J9 pin 4 and 5 on the AR-2 board. You should have 36 VAC there. If not, remove the connector and measure again on the connector of course).

All the measurements is done on the PCB´s themselves (there´s those small loopholes coming out of the PCBs)
The edge connector is clean, and so are the pcb it self...

To be sure of the measurements i did them 3 times!

That AC voltage is wayyyyy too far off to get anything right but it seems some voltages are OK.
Rebuild the AR2 and I bet your game will work, had the same with my MC cabaret...
