CP work:
The CP doesn't look that bad at first sight:

But as so often, the details tell the true story:

Inside, rust spots too..

A pic for PuckRock: Here's your Puckman joystick

Please note, the top washer is missing !

Mmmmm...P1=original leaf, P2=Micro Switch. Conclusion=MS gotta go, even though it's only a start button...

My favorite part of the hobby: COMPLETELY cleaning the kitchen desk after doing work....with a reason.
30 years of American hairs, nose drops and more stuff you don't want to know about

Punk, I gave everything a good basic cleaning. As you can see, rust rust rust. Highly suggested to get rid of all the rust and paint the joystick base.
The grommet is not torn.

Then it's time for another kitchen hobby: CPO cooking !
A last sunny look at the repro CPO:

It works great and not so great. The great part comes first. The repro (2bits?) CPO comes off VERY easily. And underneath is still some of the original CPO.

There is the repro, it came off in one piece !

The original CP is a whole different story. Even after heating to the point where things really started smoking badly it was very heard to get of the remains and glue....gonna re-think my strategy....
