Arcade Packages
« on: August 19, 2011, 02:54:58 PM »

here's a topic i've been wanting to start for quite a while now for all those random arcade packages we are receiving!

last week, i was treated to a huge collection of boxes - delivered for free almost to my doorstep ;D

inside, some arcade board games for my collection (which will eventually be cabinet toppers - but more on that later in a separate topic!)

random stuff like overlays and pcbs

different types of coin inserts

mario / donkey kong figures for my nintendo keyrings

there were some other items inside as well, but they will have to remain hidden for a while :P

don't you just love receiving arcade packages? :-*
all i need is ... PONG - and a select few others: TOUCH ME, DRAGON'S LAIR, JOUST, ROBOTRON, MR DO, SAN FRANCISCO RUSH THE ROCK!!!

today i received a box from rich@thisoldgamewith cool arcade stuff i had been waiting for for a looong time - but it was totally worth the wait!

i love unpacking packages :-*

uh, a letter for me ... :D

inside, the packing slip (sorrry, i had to "blur" some items ;D)

let's inspect the stuff a little bit closer: first, a brand-new tapper control panel overlay! all i need now is the machine to go underneath it :P

up next, the galaga wargames header to be put on my galaga machine

the fantastic reproduction of the space invaders control panel overlay

some random stickers

various vinyl samples for my donkey kong restorations

i wonder what's inside of this ... ???

opened up, two galaxians cpos (one for thorsten & dirk, one for myself), the jungle king bezel instruction card and two more nintendo stickers

a NOS nintendo vs. overlay

and finally one of the two mystery items: you will soon find out what it is exactly ...

wonderful!!! everything as expected (and hoped for). thx rich for all the efforts :spaceace: :spaceace: :spaceace:

That Galaxian CPO looks so nice also a bit because of me.....Rich sent me the vector file he would be using and I found a couple mistakes (like the copyright year being 1978 instead of 1979). Later I found even more faults, but that was on the first CPO he printed. There were no bullets before the instructions. Those bullets on yours look like squares, is that because of low-res or are they really square ?  AFAIR they should be circles....

As always nice toys....hope he didn't declare full value for you.... ;)

You didn't wipe good enough my friend:
Frogger CPO
Frogger Woodgrain.....tsss, it's so clear....hah !  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Interested to see how the red DK vinyl looks....

This time no package but a small envelope.  :D

It's a joystick washer (is that the right name?) for my Nintendo and the Ferrari emblem for the outrun mini.

Now i'm only waiting for the gear-B part and the outrun will shine again  ;D
