capkits, they sell them, but what i always do, is make a list of the caps, and then just buy them in the electronics store.

right time to make a list then from all the caps that are on there.

Time to clean the boards, before i gona do the capkit  :)

before cleaning

after cleaning

Nice and shiny again
at least i dont get dirty hands no more ;D

i took a better look at the anode,it seems there is nothing broken of :)
seems it was hold on place with melted plastic, and that broke of
So im gona try to put some super glue under the metal, and try to melt it again with plastic.
to hold it in place again.
just came from the shop and they didnt had all the caps :(
the guy at the shop is gona look if he can order them, and wil call me back
he didnt had the  PS-Power-Unit Elko, Axial 330uF 250V C11
and                    DB-Deflexion D.S. (3) Elko, Radial 47uF 250V C72, C97
so i hope he can stil order them, and i get them soon.

and i already sanded the front of the cab a bit :)

wel time to get me soldering station and replace the caps i got now

you can ofcourse use a radial type and use a cable to connect it..
(that is if he has that in stock ofcourse)

Maybe you can "bend" the hv connector carefully so it will be fine again.

I would take out the coindoor by the way....   ::)

EDIT:

You beat me with your comment Ully  :D

how did you clean that chassis

i started with ajax  and a tooth-brush but the dirt didnt came of that wel.
then i tryd glassex same as ajax the dirt didnt come of easy.
the stuf that was on the board was verry sticky.
hmmm so lets see what i got  in me kitchen cabinet.
then i was thinking amonia but nothing there .
then i saw a blue bottle spiritus, and it evaporates verry quick.
for the back of the pcb i used a bath towel put a tip in the spirtus,it wil be saturated.
then wait some time so the towel is moist again, and start cleaning
and for the side were al the caps are on,i used a tooth-brush with spiritus.
just rub it in verry good, and clean wit a towel.
but i got the idee that the spiritus and dirt stayed under parts.
it was sunday and shops were closed and i didnt had a air can or compresor
to blow it out of there.
hmmm after some thinking  :-\

i came up with this

and it did the job great  ;D ;D ;D ;D

he was telling me somthing  like that too,but i wasnt sure about it and i just went for the same thats on the board.
can be second option if he cant get the original one ;)

Right after some soldering practise on a old pcb, time to get things out.
And check if they the same as the one that is on the list from andysarcade
Now i came with a lot of different ones.
So not sure wat to do now ???
I know that if i need a cap that is for example 25volt i can put a higher voltage one in there
Atleast i read it somewere,is this true

left is the list thats on andysarcade.de on the right my board

elko, radial 2,2uf 63v on c66      the one that is in my board is 100v
elko, radial 4,7uf 16v on c40      the one that is on my board is  40v
elko, radial  100uf 16v on c23  c94 the one that is on my board is 25v
elko, radiaal 100uf 35v on c33    the one that is on my board is 63v
elko, radiaal 1000uf 16v on c60  the one that is on my board is 25v
elko, radiaal 10uf 35v on c87      the one that is on my board is 40v

so these that on my board all have higher voltage then the ones on andysarcade
can i go 100% for andys list or is it better to go with the voltages that are on mine ???

all the rest have the same codes as andysarcade.de

also the shop called  that they can get the 3 missing caps ;D

also i took a closser look to the solderside from the pcb's
i already found a lot of broken solderpoints.
and a lot of solderpoints were stuf is comming out.

the broken solderpoints i just resolder
but wat with the solderpoints were the stuff comes out,is it better to remove
al the old solder and do them again or

think im gona wait til the other parts arive, and also get the same caps that are on my board, just to be save.
so that gives me some time to resolder and remove the sticky solder and do them again.

I dont have time to check it for you now, but here is the service manual of the MTC900

it has schematics, the layout of the boards, and a partlist.

so i would check the values there, i assume in the manual they list the correct values..

Solderings: ALWAYS renew them completely, i.e. suck away all the old solder and then make a brand new and shiny one :)

Voltages on (elko) caps: can always be HIGHER, NEVER lower. Sometimes factories ran out of a certain voltage and grabbed the next higher voltage version, or they modded it because of there were field problems OR someone has done a cap-kit before and could only get these values.

It would be safest to get the same values as now on your PCB, at least that can never hurt.

I need to visit my mothers attic soon (where my arcadeshizzle is atm) and i have a spare chassis there

I can compare the values on that pcb and let you know the outcome.
