I have on that is severely starting cracking, but the hole for the trackball is cut an an angle, like a cone, to fit the shape of the upper part of the trackball (see attached). Else the gap between TB and Plexi is quite large. Can he do that sort of cuts?

Oh forgot, I still need mine ... ;)

Hey Speleo, long time no speak ;)

Yeah that already crossed my mind :)

I actually am not sure about that. They do have a lot of machines. I will simply send them a mail with your drawing and ask !

I will need some sizes for a price gauge though...

I have scanned the plexi.
Also slightly adjusted my first picture. The angle only goes only over half of the thickness... hope this helps.

Just got a call from Stout, they can do what we want :)

He'll need to see the original to give a price though so if anyone is willing to offer his sample for this, please send it to me. Of course it will be returned.

I think he can also see what material it is.

Question:

Are those cut outs on the sides really neccesary ? I figure if we could make it simply a rectangle (or square) without those cut-outs it will save some money (every "handling" costs extra of course. The holes are of course no problem.

I hate to be a total party pooper to the repro movement, but I have one (albiet cracked by the screwhole like the one in the photo) complete with rollers, trackball - yes a complete assembly dammit - that I'd let go to a new home for £25 +postage.

If this stops a good thing on a repro front ignore this message and pretend I never sent it.!!

No problem at all Ravage, if this solves Ully's problem I'm happy. If Speleo (or anyone else) still wants me to ask for a repro just let me know. I will need a sample though.

And that's a great price !

thx a lot for the offers - to all of you! the thing with repro'ing those plexis is that i think it is going to be quite expensive - especially when compared to rav's price. to be honest, all i'd need is the plexi, but i don't know whether rav is willing to break up his entire assembly. if he is, he could throw it in the same package with the jungle king (wink wink wing :P).

well, rav, what'll it be?

Why not get the whole  thing for that incredible price ? Isn't this the same trackball unit as it on the Basketball ? Could come in handy for that one....

you're right, andré, why not go for the whole thing? the answer is ... eh ... what is the answer? ;) well, rav is (hopefully) going to ship over the jungle king marquee soon and the plexi would fit in nicely there, but the entire trackball assembly would increase the shipping costs a lot (at least that's what i think).

@rav: here's my idea: i'll get the entire assembly from you, but could you please only remove the plexi and send it over along with the screws that hold it in place and the jungle king marquee? keep the rest of the assembly in a safe place until my personal visit in summer. this way, i can finish off my missile command PLUS save on shipping costs and minimize the danger of the entire trackball unit damaging the JK marquee. does that make sense?

Good solution :)

I still would be interested to know how much repro-ing these would cost....I think it won't be that outrageous...
