Tested both my carts yesterday evening and they are working like a charm:

(Both consoles are PAL consoles, with a 50/60 Hz mod, I can recommend that mod to everyone). The game is Burning Force (MD). Now I just have to make a nice case for the carts. I'm happy.  :D

There is a weird thing on one of the tracks of my Everdrive.
Could you take a look at yours and verify if you have some weird stuff like this ? Thanks.

[Edit] Continuity test is positive, so I'm gonna test it on my Nomad.

Looks like a decent "tracefix" to me, I have seen worse "factory modifications"..

But yeah, i agree, you don't expect this from "new" equipment..

on the other hand, normally equipment is cased instead of a bare PCB, and then you don't see that  ::)

So Eric, when are you going to do a group buy for the PC engine you just bought ? ;)

Right after the N64 everdrive cart group buy.  :)

Btw, it was nice seeing you again. I had a lot of fun today, met some friends, had nice chats. Simon seems like a really nice guy, I had a long talk with him before you arrived. I'm anxious to see how the AV mod wil work out.

"Funny", when I go in "Device Info", my PAL MDII is recognized as an US console.

Yeah, the 2600 AV mod looked REALLY nice. Sure, it's not RGB, but that's simply impossible from those machines. But the difference between using an Antenna signal and this will be a pure bliss. It was fun, he showed it to me with the game "Cosmic Arc" from Imagic. Really liked that one back in the day. So simple but fun !

Oh, and his name is Sijmen, not Simon ;)

Just disassembled it, it's one of the numerous MD I have bought in yard sales in villages around mine. And this one has a track cut making it displaying games in 60 Hz, that's why it was recognized as an US console.

Mine has arrived in London. Thankyou :) Kinda wish I got both now!

Are there ones coming for other consoles? I really like owning games and the boxes and all but this is a nice
'all in one' solution.

Yep, KRIKzz also has a SMS Everdrive for sale and at the moment he is developing a N64 everdrive: http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31476&page=2

And there could also be a PCE everdrive in the near future.

Have fun with the cart. Please remember to first do a full FAT16 format of the SD card in your PC and then again a format through the Everdrive tools menu. After that you are good to go and put game roms on the SD card (max. 200 games in a folder. I made 26 alphabetic folders where my roms are in).
