Berzerk..... aaarh!

Well, my Berzerk only plays 3 beeps, and than nothing, what is it checking on the 4th beep?

damn it! welcome to the 3 BEEPS CLUB, michael. as far as i know, 3 beeps mean that the ZPU is ok, so it's either the cables or one of the other boards. but since i'm having the same problem, two sets of spare boards (i wonder where the second set came from ) plus a few replacement cables and i still can't get my Berzerk to work, the error must be somewhere else. i'm curious to see whether andré is able to fix it when he's coming over soon ...

hehe, im sure it´s the cables, because yesterday it had the same fault, and i just re-seated all the flat cables and it was working again!
maby some replacement flat cables is the way forward...

i've tried it with new SCSI cables, but the path didn't lead to enlightenment for me

But Muerto's problem is indicating much more to the cables being problematic....IIRC he even mentioned it already in the very beginning he had a similar problem.....

i agree, andré! and hopefully it IS only the flat cables and we can fix this problem easily, but what else is there i can do but measure, push down and exchange cables? i've tried them in various combinations to no avail ...

Well, next weekend we'll work on it. I will bring my full working drawer and all the remaining boards I have over here so we will be able to at least pin-point the problem. I hear it's going to be one HOT weekend though..... :S

Typical: First time I would come over it was crazy winter, this time it's crazy summer, we have a good way of making appointments !

I hope the place we can work is a bit shady/cool ?
