dragons lair - software corner
« on: April 18, 2010, 10:12:35 PM »
hey guys, i was checkin on the website and i found the page "emulate the lair" and i was wondering:
as a kid i used to own a software corner kit, and i used to enjoy it soooo much!
but then 1 day the amiga software died & shortly after that, the ldp died too.
but since i still have the disc which is in pristine conditions, it feels like a waste to have it there and not use it.
so, is the Pioneer VideoDisc player CLD 1500 really the only one working with this system?
coz the one i had, had the jog-thing on the right side......im pretty sure i had the Pioneer VideoDisc player CLD 1600, instead.
but before i start hunting for it, i thought of asking you guys this. d'u think it would work with both ldp?

also, the 2 cables that are required and the amiga software, how difficult are they to come by???
thanks evryone.

take care...
stefano

Hi levicomate;

For the Amiga, it is possible repair ( have a lot experience on it ;) ).
For the laser disk player, I think it is possible to fix, You can try to ask at Any or to italiandoh.

Ciao, flip971.

Hi Stefano,
yes, Pioneer CLD-1600 and CLD-2600 and also others of the same era will work in the system.
Bye,

Matteo

thanx guys for your replies.
of course iv got another question! i noticed theres a downloadable file which, if i understood it correctly, should be the amiga software that was included in the software corner kit.
i tried to download it, but how can i turn it into an amiga disk? i know this might be a real stupid question but i really can figure that out.
does anyone have the patience to explin this to me?
or is it possible to purchase the amiga software directly from someone here?
thank you very much
stefano

It´s a bit hard to explane, but you have to make some images discs in .ADF format...
Can you share the file you dloadet so i can have a look at it?

thank for the reply.
the file is on the front page dragonslairfans.com in the section emulate the lair.
i dunno if its cool to post it here.
but anyway its a rar folder and there's just one file in it.
and it's an .adf file.
the other one is just a readme file but there are no instructions.
thanks for your help
