interested in (some of) ravage's games? JUMP ABOARD!
« on: April 18, 2010, 07:18:31 PM »

the guy where bruno got his moon patrol and ghost'n'goblins from still has some great games for sale. right now i'm in negotiations with him regarding some cabs and IF the deal comes through, i'm driving over to england to pick the games up in person.

i will most likely buy the PAC-LAND, am strongly interested in the SINISTAR COCKPIT plus i'm considering XEVIOUS, DOMINO MAN and ELEVATOR ACTION. although i've asked him hundreds of times, he doesn't want to sell his TAPPER - damn !

since i will be passing though belgium on my way to england, i thought maybe someone else from this forum is interested in cabs from rav which i could then bring along - for a huuuge delivery charge of course  ;)

here's the original thread on jamma+: http://www.jammaplus.co.uk/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=15734&KW=&PID=134474&title=retrokade-cabs-for-sale#134474

and here are some pics: http://www.retrokade.com/sales/cabs/

perhaps we could get something like a "ravage bulk deal" going! so get into gears, guys, and JUMP ABOARD!  8)
all i need is ... PONG - and a select few others: TOUCH ME, DRAGON'S LAIR, JOUST, ROBOTRON, MR DO, SAN FRANCISCO RUSH THE ROCK!!!

That's a great idea  :-*

There are still some serious stuff in that list, but nothing in my "I WANT TO DIE FOR THIS ONE" list  ;)
As my 'gamer' side (not collector side), I would like to add the Juno First in my game room  ::)
I've just drop him a mail for this one, and of course I've mentioned the 'group deal' with you  ;)

Let's stay tuned  :P

1942 is listed with 150 pounds, qix with 250 (all in the original thread). i'm sure we can get a much better deal if we bunch up together though. so if there's anything you're really interested in, please let me know and i will forward it to rav!

this is just an inquiry, no order yet, so don't be afraid!  ;)

Are these Jamma cabinets? Not with dedicated PCBs, but emulated? If so, a pity...

The Mario Bros and Neo Geo cabinets look interesting, though.

I was at Rav's place earlier this year, together with Level42. He has a lot of awesome games of which most were in very good condition. We had a lot of fun walking around. And in fact I was there for the Qix cabinet, but I concluded that the price-quality was not in proportion for my liking. And then my interest turned to Phoenix, but Rav was very fond of that cab which was calculated in his sales price, we didn't make a deal. By the way, Rav is a great chap, and you can buy with confidence from him. Unfortunately he sometimes is a bit hard too reach.

To my surprise I now see in his sales topic some nice games for sale which he didn't want let loose a few months ago. And as Ully said, a group buy will probably have a positive downwards effect on prices. So, go for it.  :)

It lists a Defender shell on there (so project) as £250GBP. If you are in Wales and yet don't want to sign up, you can't be that interested in a Defender by having to ask someone in Germany to log on there for you and get the price ;-)

I thought it was SO funny that we discovered that my Radar Scope/Mario Bros cab actually CAME from Rav originally !!! The arcade community is really a small one and cabs sometimes seem to go in circles ;) (For those not knowing: I bought my RS/MB from a Dutch guy but he already mentioned it originally came from the UK....)

Well the MB must somewhat ease the pain of missing the Gravitar I hope !!!

I felt like walking through a candy store during our UK visit both at Rav's and Alpha's place.....

The cab that I would have REALLY wanted was already bought by Bruno: Burger Time !
Of course there are plenty more I'd want, but I've SWORN now to first get ALL my current cabs done and finished ! :D

Oliver

From what i remember i needed a minimum post count of 10 to get into that particular part of the site, i don't really want to make 10 pointless posts and regardless i couldn't remember my login and couldn't find the email to remember what id signed up as a while back, it just seemed a bit easier(lazier) to ask a favour of someone.
enough reasons for you? ;)
and its not for me, a friend wants to buy a defender for her husband as a 25th anniversary gift, i just thought i'd ask a question to help her out.
thanks for the info by the way, i'll pass it on  :)
