Unused coins?
« on: February 05, 2011, 12:16:58 AM »
I just found something cool you could do with the old coins we always find at the bottom of our cabs...
Insert Coin
This was really animated by hand, just by moving a bunch of coins around on the floor.
The 'making of' is at the end of the movie.

What amazes me is that some of the dots (or coins) that stay on are SO still when they are on for a "longer" period of time.

Usually with these kind of set-ups there will be a TINY bit of movement. Think about it, they're walking on a cloth all over to move coins...how can they keep them all in place so PERFECTLY throughout several frames after another ?

I have a feeling this is fake..

[Edit]mmmm, watched it again and there actually are some coins moving here and there while they were supposed to be fixed....so it could very well be real...

If so amazing and......don't these guys have anything better to do ?  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

when i thought it was fake thats the first thing i looked for, 'organic' movement of the coins , so i reckon its the firs thing they remembered to include in the fake imagery, its amazing but no way did 2 guys do this with coins, there's years of work there
just keeping an eye on things
