It's no joy to read that topic. 
Yeps, I've just passed through the post (15 pages so far) ... very sad
There are a lot of questions to ask about this great project to come (what about these new XY monitor, what would be the hardware used to replace the SW board, etc...) but I've seen only 'board fight' so far.
