Not really, sorry. I have no idea of how to find out.
Let me check during the weekend what ESCAPE ... stuff I might have left for sale.

I think this is what you need. There are adapters for ESCAPE FROM THE PLANET ... Anyway, this one only plugs-in directly if you have the pcb version with JAMMA interface. There is also a different mainboard version w/o JAMMA connector.

If you still are looking for parts I could check if I have a working replacement hall effect joystick left.

'Business' Area : Buy/Sell/Trade / WTB: Monitor for Sega NAOMI Upright
« on: October 24, 2013, 06:02:13 PM »
I am looking for a 29" replacement monitor for one of my Standard NAOMI upright cabinets. European models were normally shipped with either Sanwa 29E31S or Nanao MS-2932-S.

Does anyone have a spare for sale or trade? I only need 31KHz but the tube should have little to no burn-in.

Technical Area / Steering issue with CRAZY TAXI HIGH ROLLER
« on: October 24, 2013, 05:52:34 PM »
Maybe someone can help me with this issue: I have a CRAZY TAXI HIGH ROLLER cabinet that used to work well. Now when driving the taxi always pulls left. This is really annoying. Of course I tried to solve this by re-calibrating the steering wheel as well as the pedals.
Stupid thing is that after the calibration the self-test reads reasonable values for max/min and also a mid-value when the wheel is in center position. Too bad the taxi still goes left when playing the game.  >:( It's the same issue when running OUT RUN 2 in this machine.

Strage enough: This does not happen when I connect a Triforce system with MARIO KART to this cabinet. After a simple calibration the carts can bee steered as expected.

Does anyone have a good idea of what to do or did someone maybe face a similar issue as well?
Due to the MARIO KART running fine I guess the I/O board, wiring, potentiometer etc. should be fine.

Maybe I am doing something wrong during the CRAZY TAXI calibration - but options are so limited here that I am perplexed.
Thanks a lot in advance for any hint!

Please feel free to make a proposal!  :) You might want to send a PM. Also could think about a reasonable trade in certain cases.

Thank you everybody for the warm welcome!  :)

Hope you're also fan of some NAMCO 'the Game creator' games ::) ...and maybe some LD games? Ok, at least Dragon's Lair? ;)

Have fun, and don't hesitate to shoot a max of pictures!  8)
I hate NAMCO.

No, just kidding  :pac: ... how could I forget mentioning Namco? Just think about what they brought to us, games such as GALAXIAN, GALAGA 88, The Classic Collections, Dragon Spirit, Outfoxies, the crazy BARADUKE and so on.
Unfortunately, no laser games here. Even though I think I was among the first in Germany to own a laser disc player in the 80ies - with lots of imported LD from the US.  Never had the chance to get a laser arcade game. Maybe that's because you guys got them all? ... but to save my soul:  I have the Dragon's Lair DVD.  ;)

Checked my boxes and found this one. This is the TEMPLE OF DOOM cartridge for your cab!  :)

All the rest / Introducing Alex42
« on: August 04, 2013, 08:58:44 PM »
Hi everybody,

I am new here and would like to introduce myself. My name is Alexander, I am from the southern part of Germany. I have been collecting arcade stuff for about 15 years now, playing video games since the age of 9 or 10. When I started collecting my initial focus was on games I loved to play in the arcades (or as home computer conversion - there were not so many arcades around when I was a small boy. Maybe they only were out of my reach but - anyway, it was a great time and my hobby makes me remember theses days again and again).
Most of my favourite games are from Atari, Sega, IREM and Taito. As of today I have about 350 original pcbs specifically selected during the last one and a half decades. I think I have most of the games I "always wanted to have" but you discover new stuff all the time. I remember the great days I got hands on MR HELI, SPELUNKER, LODE RUNNER IV and BUBBLE BOBBLE.  :)

Later I also started collecting dedicated arcade cabinets. In my gaming room there are around 20 machines including 2 pinballs. I am very proud of my ESCAPE FROM THE PLANET OF THE ROBOT MONSTERS which was imported from the US. Also love my CRAZY TAXI, OUT RUN and XYBOTS. Not to forget all the others.

BTW: This board was recommended by Andreas Kraemer aka Speleo_de. I hope to find some missing rare items with the help of this community. I also hope to  help one or another member with some missing parts. Will also try to get rid of some double or no longer needed pcbs/projects and cabinets here as well.
Some of you might know me from ebay (spooky_mulder_1).

I look forward to talking to you.
Take care!
Alexander

Are you still looking for these parts? If I understand correctly you would need the Atari System I mainboard as well as the INDY cartridge?
