Can you not get the PCB repaired?

Can you not get the PCB repaired?
porchy took a quick look heres his reply:
Made a decent adapter up today and had it fired up in my NAC.
At first it didnt boot but the voltage had dropped down to 4.5 so I ramped it up in 0.1v increments and each time the game go steadier and progressed further before resetting.
The PSU in my NAC topped out at 5.1v and this allowed me to boot the PCB and start a game. When the game comes up, there are some graphics issues and it runs for about 5 seconds before resetting. Ideally I would have liked to take the voltage up to near 5.2 but im out of options. Im sure the main issue is voltage but unless I can get a power supply with more adjustment then I cannot do much else unfortunately.
Im starting to see why there are so many +5v lines on the 2 edge connectors as this is one hungry beast.
If I cannot progress any further then I will just have to send the board back. Maybe you can find another one. The one I had didnt have as much demand on voltage as yours so there may be a dead or dying chip dragging the whole thing down somewhere. I may try and find something along those lines.
I cant think of anyone that actually repairs these things, dedicated boards can be a problem.
Ill let you know if I make any advancements.
Jon
so now i have two boardsets that are not working interchanged boards and no difference going slowly insane

Board repair takes time and tools :D . 5.2 volt should be enough. But does your supply have the amps to feed this boardset?
As said you need to check which components are draining power. Check the temperature of the components, with your fingers or with a heath camera or a remote temp gun like Level42 posted on this site.
Last week I fixed a pinball .... The 68 volt line was as low as 25 volt..... In the end i could see a 10 watt resister desoldering itself from the pcb. It was red hot. A closer inspection reviewed there was a current running through the print between the base and the collector line of a transistor. So the print iself was the problem.
Make sure you clean the print well.
