Title: EUROCADE / RGE Flea Market - no shipping costs for RGE visitors
Post by: ckong on August 20, 2014, 02:11:51 PM
Are you going to visit the upcoming Eurocade / RGE event on 12-14 September?  Sure you are.  :spaceace:

Do you have stuff for sale that others might want or need? You probably do!  :)

Do you not want to take the risk that these items will be damaged during transport by a commercial company? You bet!  :)

Are the items heavy and or large and will shipping costs / postage kill a deal? That happens very often.  :o

Then .... why don't you make a deal here with other Eurocade / RGE visitors and bring your items with you to the event?

So, post your items for sale (or wanted) here. This can be anything!  :D :D

Okay, I will kick-off.  :)

FOR SALE

For sale is a Galaxian High score Save Kit. It is for a Midway Galaxian board and I have a Namco board. The kit is therefore never used. More info here: http://arcade.souzaonline.com/Docs/Galaxian_High_Score_Kit.pdf

Price is €35, delivered to Eurocade in Hilversum.  :)

Second item for sale: an original DK coin door, unpopulated. There is some damage on the door, but not that bad, I will post a pic later. SOLD

WANTED

- I need / want T-molding for several cabs, textured and non-textured, in several colors. Show me what you've got and I can tell you if I need it.
- wanted: Midway coin door plates, for Galaxian, Galaga and ms. pac-man
- wanted: Coin insert decals for Midway cabs
- wanted: locks for coin doors and back doors

Cool idea! I am looking for the following stuff:

Space Zap boardset - preferably working. If non working at least the customs have to be good ;)
Boot Hill boardset
Ridge Racer 2 boardset (cpu-board must be good)
Asteroids panel in good condition or panel overlay (full overlay prefered). Controls not needed ...

For the Space Zap and Boot Hill boardset I would sell me first child (still unborn and not planned to have one - YOU can choose date of birth!!). Otherwise I have a serious amount of money to give. Even blood and/or organ-donations possible during the event. I want to get those cabs running again at any cost. :)

The following things I have to offer:

Night Driver Bezel -> reserved for Bela on RGE 2013 ... if he still wants it, it's his of course. Six pack of your best regional beer otherwise
Video Pinball panel in quite ok condition -> also a six pack

I'm looking for a good soul to fix my Centipede PCB and Asteroids PCB.
They stopped working suddenly after months of "perfectly working". :-[
I pay for parts, time and shipping even if the repair fails.
I can bring both boards to Eurocade.
These are my 2 favourite games, please help!
Thanks!!!!

For sale: 3 VGA / SVGA Arcade monitors (640x480 and 800x600). One of the monitors is already in a frame. This one is slightly used, but in very good condition, no burn in whatsoever. The other two are brandnew, but don't come in a frame. all three have monitor control breakout pcb's, which is very comfortable. The monitors are plug&play, just power it to the 230V mains, connect the VGA input to a VGA source and that's it. Very nice to hook up VGA consoles, PC or other VGA/SVGA sources.

The first buyer of one of the brandnew monitors also gets a manual. The price is € 90 each, delivered to The Retro Game Experience next weekend!

And now some pics.

1. The Philips AE51EHE175X50 with 21" VGA/SVGA combination, in a frame:

Short call :)

For sale is a Galaxian repro controlpanel, black powder coated.

I had two of them and I already applied a CPO from This Old Game. Looks great.

The panel is made of stainless steel and poweder coated....there should be no rust in the future ;)

It has some imperfections in the left and right corner (see pics, please) but still better than a rusted piece of steel maybe even with additional holes ;)

60€ RGE/EC-price.

Pics...

Hey everyone,

It was an awesome event, the eurocade 2014! I somehow won the Pac Man tournament that was going on. I used to play the game back in the day, but never on a real arcade machine. Well only a couple of times on mame machines. I was astonished by how well the stick of the Pac Man machines at the event responded to every small movement of the hand. Stuff that was nearly impossible to do in the past suddenly became easy. I'm not sure if most Pac Man machines are like this, or that the two at the event were just very well maintained.

Anyway at the end of the event I spoke to the owner of one of the machines and he directed me to this community. The thing is,  I'm kind of hooked to that wunderful piece of technology now.

So my question is, does anyone have one for sale? Peferably in the Netherlands, Germany or Belgium (driving distance, live in Amsterdam myself).

Thanks and hope to see you at the eurocade 2015!

Hi Kuros,

nice to see another "Jr member" on this forum since the Eurocade 2014 event :)

There is a Pacman for sale on Marktplaats, perhaps you could try to get it:
http://www.marktplaats.nl/a/verzamelen/automaten-overige/m847989327-pac-man-arcade-cabinet-origineel-pacman-vintage.html?c=efb2ef4dc323389c4f92ed10afa33e3a&previousPage=lr

You could also ask a guy from this forum, his nickname is cebulba. I am not sure, if he has a Pacman for sale, but try it :)

Hi Kuros,  that was my pac-man on which you made that great high score.  Congratulations again.  :)

About the one for sale on marktplaats,  seeing where it is located,  Hengelo,  it might be one of the games of a forum member,  Thwocker.  You could send him a PM and try to work something out.

Another option is of course participating in a container group transport and buy one,  or more, games  in the USA. A few forum members,  like myself,  are doing this at the moment.

Hey, thanks! Also for directing me to this community.

I'm in contact with the person who placed the Marktplaats add. He is indeed a member here. I will also try to contact cebulba. So when will the next round of arcade shipment be?

So when will the next round of arcade shipment be?

I don't know exactly,  contact valentin27 for that,  he is organizing the container transport. But the container will only be shipped when it is full.  So,  the more people buy games,  the sooner it will ship.  I now have 3 games waiting for this to happen.  ;D

Valentin27 told me that there are 15 games in the container so far. There is plenty of space left so everybody can give it a try. I will gladly help with some advice on how to ship the cabs you buy and where to ship them.

Did he post the conditions (cost, what is the destination port) yet?

plan was that prices should stay like they were with thomas. at least that is what i was told.
maybe valentin could say something about that. :)
pickup would be in france which would be pretty much the same distance for me than it was before.

shipping to the us would be to coinopwarehouse. i can give you the details on how to get them there. it makes sense to ship more than one machine to them cause this cuts the costs.

so if you find somebody on ebay or on klov who is selling more than one cab... get connected with others. that´s what i did with several members here and it worked pretty well so far. :)

i was not involved in that... but it has the advantage that you can buy stuff from there, too without shipping the stuff to the storage. this saves quite a lot of money sometimes.

i think valtentine should open up a thread for his container. would speed up things a lot.

I am really not willing to open a post for the container, it will become very time consuming.
If that 1st container goes smooth then maybe I will advertise it and go for a 2nd one.

General information is that machines must be sent to COW by yourself, and they will arrive to Vernon FR27200.
There are 2 main solutions:
- buying from COW
- buying to someone else and use STI (or ask COW to collect if it is near their place)

You can contact me by PM if you need additional information.

Solution 3 is to buy from a seller who can and will arrange transport to COW, or will transport thegames himself to COW.  One such seller is dj dns from KLOV.  Some of us,  like myself,  bought games from him.  He has access to all kinds of games in all kinds of condition.  You can check out his flicker page.

But I agree, Valentin should advertise his container more.   :)   He did advertise the Tempest cab that I bought and that's how I got involved in the container.  If the number of cabs for his container doesn't increase fast enough,  then I will consider other options to get the games home.  So advertising is agood thing,  I show my puchhased games,  like qbert and bump 'n jump also for that reason.   :D

in general it will be a good thing to fill it up in a shorter time. you do not have to manage the thread except posting the number of free spots on a regular basis. :)
how does that sound?

Yes let's fill it up asap!
Because I can't wait to get my games + honestly, I don't like the idea of letting my cabs at COW (or anywhere else) for a year.
