The yoke wires lead from the chassis to the yoke and come in pairs for horizontal and vertical deflection. changing these pairs (that means change the order of either the two hor or vert wires) mirrors the picture. NEVER change hor and vert wires between another though, that results in a total chassis fuckup ;)

Yup, one cable pair flips the horizontal, the other the vertical, so after flipping, normal picture will be upside down and flipping the other pair will flip right and left resulting in a mirrored image

You're almost there...

Or consider playing with a mirror...

One cool thing I've seen in a YT video was a suggestion to split the connector in the middle, so that you can flip each pair independently, without pulling the wires.

This one?  I found it very informative.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QVYG3ShP6S4 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QVYG3ShP6S4)

I'm about to do this myself, I pick this up tomorrow, it's to go in a Midway space invaders.  I'm putting a 60 in 1 in there, hoping to use the Jamma to scart lead I just got off ebay with this TV that I'm picking up tomorrow.  Hope B&O tv's can do the yoke swap.

I'm hoping to utilise a 4pdt switch so if I ever need to flip it, I'm not going back in the TV.    I'm assuming a lot of things going my way here....http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/toggle-switch-4pdt-fh08j (http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/toggle-switch-4pdt-fh08j)(http://images.maplinmedia.co.uk/toggle-switch-4pdt.jpg?w=283&h=283&r=4&o=ktSwjhT1M9xyPBGQtT32rrVJxq0j&V=xShL)

edit 24/08/14- now use B&O for retro console setup.  Never used 4pdt, was going to use intermediate switch mount on tv shell to flip screen as required, then just flipped the yoke instead:-)

Picked up a cheap Sony Trinitron 19" TV on ebay for £5...suppose I could have got one for free at the recycling centre....but I wanted Sony.
Did all my research on the chassis of the TV, located the pair of vertical wires and the horizontal wires.
Snipped the connector through the middle, reversed the vertical wires.

and hey presto...

Note my serious arcade collector "dev kit" - a piece of crap tv game, but it just tells me it's working before I go Jamma crazy with a 60-1 for the Midway SI.
