Title: Atari Dragon's Lair and Atari Space Ace for sale
Post by: leeram on October 16, 2013, 11:51:49 PM
Hi everyone,

If I can get a price that I am happy with I am going to sell my Atari Dragon's Lair and my Atari Space Ace. I am thinking of £1800 each.

One of them uses an original player and one uses a converter and more modern player, I can't remember which is which though so I will have a look and update the post.

The Space Ace artwork is limited edition repro and signed by Don Bluth and Gary Goldman. The marquee is actually a USA marquee which is signed by Don and Gary. The control panel overlay is wrecked but I have a NOS Atari control panel overlay that you can stick on. These things are so rare that I haven't had the bravery to do it! The coin mechs are missing so that would need replacing. The screen has a bit of gaussing that you could degauss, I just haven't got around to it, and the monitor works well.

The Dragon's Lair artwork is a mess, so it's a good job that I have NOS artwork for it that you can stick on. The marquee is signed by Gary and Don and is an Atari Marquee. The control panel overlay again is a mess, but I have a NOS one to replace it (I seem to recall it being signed too). Again I just haven't had the bravery to stick it on. The screen works but is sometimes in black and white and the picture sometimes jumps. I think it needs a re-cap. The coin mechs look like they should work but they are set for old 10p coins and I don't have any to check.

I'll post pictures as soon as I can but you can see the machines here

Any chance you could do a hi-res scan of the Atari CPO? That piece of art cannot be found anywhere.
Thanks,

Matteo

Also.. If he doesn't have access to a suitable scanner, maybe some of us could chip in to get it scanned at a printing/scanning company?
My DL desperately need a new overlay, and I would be happy to help pay for scanning.

I'll give it a go. I have set up a proper thread for it in the artwork thread, not in the sales thread!

Well, do it if you want. No obligation.
@slowcade: leeram mentioned to have a NOS Space Ace Atari CPO, not Dragon's Lair.

Could be. I'm not sure to have understood correctly at this point.
