Getting deeper into the dedicated stuff. Some friendly guy from the german Arcadezentrum sold me a Tank Battalion a while ago Thanks Andreas!!!). Last week the shipping agency finally made my dream come true. :)
I really thought I have to put massive action in the restauration after getting some pics:

But after some cleaning it turned out the cabinet was pretty much in perfect condition (despite the obvious big crack on the bezel/control panel unit:

The cabinet was sold as untested. After the cleaning I double checked all connections and voltages.

To do list:
- rebuild the instructions
- maybe rebuild the bezel/control panel unit (not sure if I really want to do it…)
-
What a beauty!!! - I think André would kill for the player two button!! :D
-
:D
Should be no problem with a 3D-printer...
BTW: Did the german instructions (57 MB, 300dpi printable):

Very nice!! :spaceace:

Congratulations!
Tank Battallion is a fun game!
We got the cocktail and never play it!

Since the cabinet will be part of the collection in the OCM museum, I will hardly ever play it. Nonetheless it's dull but straight fun. :)

Doesn't look like they are undamaged either.... ;D

Don't think I will be able to track down one of the buttons ever. Worst part bugging me is the crack and the cigarette burns (for fucks sake - who is doing this??). Bezel and Control panel are one piece. I was thinking about rebuilding the lower part:
(http://picload.org/thumbnail/ocrplaa/3a.jpg) (http://picload.org/view/ocrplaa/3a.jpg.html)
Cut the lower part, replace it, leave the upper part. There would be a thin line then... Dunno if I should do this... :P

Nooooo! I think I can help you with that. Had some similar burns on my Amidar panel and could remove them quite successfully. Gimme a call these days the we can sort this out.
PS: LOVE the cab!!!!!!!!!
