Post by: Blanka on August 20, 2013, 10:33:02 AM
This afternoon I will present an arcade cabinet like you have never seen before. It has an excellent WAF, and a great entry into the hobby. Stay tuned!

Here it is:
The Cardboard version of Retro Space. We made a series of 53 last week, and my 3 for promotional purposes were delivered today. Put the first one together:

Oh, still have to finish it. I have to laser 28mm holes (you guys know for what), and the 4 holes in the side panels hold 2 sticks for VESA-mounting LCD's, and the slots in the bottom and top of the display area hold a laser cut translucent smoke plexi sheet.
Oh, and if you did not do it already: like my FB page:

The cool thing about these is that you can totally smash it up if you are extremely frustrated by the game you are playing.......or set it on fire..... ;D ;D ;D (remove parts first ;);))

It's pretty solid. You can mount a max 27 inch LCD inside, it is pretty steady when playing games, but if you play it totally frustrated, it might get damaged. I might take one to Eurocade with the Indigo browser, a sort of arcade-game-browser with recent Dutch indie games that are arcade-like.
