Title: Space Invaders License Cards from Taito Cabinet

Hi Guys,

I recently bought a Taito Space Invaders cab in GREAT condition.

Inside in a little plastic bag were these License Cards. Size of a credit card.

I contacted Taito about these via their Facebook page and their reply is below.

Has anyone else seen these before? Are they rare?

Not sure about their rarity, but these cards were used to record the dates at which Space Invaders high scores are achieved. The "license" part is a bit like racing games; get above a certain high score and you could call yourself an "A-class" player. Hope this helps!

I could never find one nor a scan of it... and even worse: I missed a free one on UKVAC a few weeks ago :(

Apparently these were pretty common in Japan, multiple arcade games had them. The red version is on this page:

Thanks to Forcefulfil, I'm now the proud owner of a rare and original Taito Space Invaders manual!
I know a bunch of faded A4 black and white pages probably doesn't mean much to you but I'm so in love with that cab that I'm really happy to have the original manual.

I compared it with the online version from arcarc and I have an extra page between page 8 and 9 that specifies various dip switch settings according to your CPU.
I also have 2x A3 sheets with the schematics! (I couldn't find them online)
I'll scan the lot next week.
