I've finally decided to restore my Canyon Bomber CP, mainly because the silkscreened graphic started to self-destroy.
Since no one has yet reproduced th CPO I've decided to make it from scratch, I've made the graphics then printed on vinyl and die cutted.
I have to admit that the result makes me very happy.

did you make a vector ?
cool to see that there is a white and a black variant of this cabinet, or is yours not original white ?

Yes.

Cab is original white, as you can see in the bottom left part of the bezel it's a Bertolino licensed version.

Interesting!!!! Great result!

Wow I always love those Special versions ! Very cool :)
It is a bit sad they removed the purple color from all the artwork though.....it's so 70s...purple and orange....
-
Neat piece. It's really interesting (from this American perspective) to see what Atari licensees did differently from the original. Is that Cascade an Avalanche bootleg?
-
Yeah I like that too.....even cabs made in Atari's own factory in Ireland had often color differences.

Just noticed the Crash machine on one of the pics....thought it had a very familiar(but not Exidy)profile...looked it up on KLOV: http://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=7421 and I bet that is a converted Super Breakout. Judging by the side-art etc. it was a conversion kit OR they converted Super Breakout machines that didn't sell in (probably) an Italian factory....
To add more mystery: the Crash marquee has stolen Super Bug drawings ! ( Super Bug was a Kee Games game in the US. Kee Games was of course simply Atari. Looking further, in Germany Super Bug was sold under the Atari name judging on the German flyer, but the machine clearly still had the Kee Games logos.........
Oooh, I love this hobby :)

Those CRASH cabinets are quite common in italy. I have one and I know there are some others around italy.
-
Cool, Any signs of them being Super Breakouts earlier on ? I have a feeling they were a factory job...
-
actually I dunno, but it's possible.

Yes
