At the moment I have these 2 pics, the psu was mounted to the bottom of the cab with 2 wooden "sticks" in all zaccs, the Vanguard pcb is on the left side on your pic, it is on an aluminium plate, screwed to the side panel.
I can send you better pics tomorrow.

On a side note:
Is there any one knows what the speech actually is saying? I mean, I always tried to focus on the speech in this game but never understand what it is saying.
Title: Re: Vanguard insite
Post by: Belike on November 22, 2011, 03:23:31 PM
In the beginning it is "Bon Voyage", then "Rainbow Zone", "Stick Zone" and at the end it is "Congratulations".
There is also "be careful" at the end of each "energized zone".
There is only one word that I can't understand, when you "energize" yourself with that strip, it says "......... attack". ???

Okay, nice results with a buffingwheel !

I have seen guy's doing flame polishing after sanding with very fine grid (waterproof sandpaper) and polish a bit before hitting it with the torch

I think i will test this on a piece of scrap plexi soon  :P

CPO restored  :P
removed sig burn then polishing , looks brand new  :-*

I want to restore the CPO of Moon crest and Vanguard this weekend. Robin, the Vanguard CPO is not really flat, it has a curve because of the heat of cigarettes. I guess that I first have to flatten it before sanding them. What is the best way to flatten them? A heat gun (hair dryer) and sandwhich the CPO between to pieces of wood?

And what type of polishing disc is best to use on a simple drill? (boormachine)

Don't use wood... Not flat enough. Best is in an oven between to pieces of 8 mm safety glass. You Do it at own risk...  ;DThere is a thin line between  flat and kaasfondue. Melting punt is around 160 degree celsius... Just using a flat metal baking plate might work..... Start first with an old piece of cpo...

Will do that. And I will buy a film camera to film it. But My wife will not let me use 'her' oven, so I decided to buy a microwave, put it on maximum power for 15 minutes. That should do the job.
