Few weeks ago, I went to the new Pat's GameRoom. He works on it since maybe one years, and now... at least ... it's time to bring games into it :)
Last month, Pat got its very first games... have a look at this post  https://www.dragonslairfans.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=265
So here's the situation before the new load of games :
He asked me to come in order to 'supervise" this arrival of games, and also help him to configure a mame computer :)
So for the moment, his family can play two games :
World Cup Soccer pinball :

Namco's Soul Edge :
This is the D-Day for him... 4rd of april 2007
 It'll be christmas in august for the childs

First gift ... an authentic Babyfoot :P
(https://www.dragonslairfans.com/gameroom/pat/gp5.jpg)
The gameroom is at the first floor...

See how to bring it upstair

Fortunately, it has an elevator to load until 400kg :
...does the passage will be large enough for the babyfoot ?
No problemo 8)
Ok, now a quick inspection of it :
All is fine... Next toy
The next toy is ... a pool  :o
(https://www.dragonslairfans.com/gameroom/pat/gp12.jpg)
...ouch... quite an heavy thing...
The first idea was to use the elevator, like we did for the babyfoot...
... but because of the size of the pool, we were a little bit affraid to damage it... so, for the moment, the pool stay in the garage few days...
OK, there's no more 'toys' in the seller's trailer... let's move It ... By the way, I would like to have a similar trailer.. .very usefull for Arcade Warehouse & Roadtrips
The next one is ... a pinball :
NO FEAR :P
(https://www.dragonslairfans.com/gameroom/pat/gp18.jpg)
It looks very nice ... Pat is not really a 'die-hard' arcade game player, he loves pinballs
...same technique than the babyfoot... very easy :o :
Don't try this at home
Few more steps... and it'll be 'on location' 8)
... the last part from the 'NO FEAR' pinball :
It's not finished... one more game... Kids don't know what it is... but they are attracted by it 8) Like we were when we saw an arcade video game or a pinball for the first time :o
(https://www.dragonslairfans.com/gameroom/pat/gp24.jpg)
...it's a pachislot... it's not plug yet, but the kids are already pushing on all the buttons
It's a wonderfull King Camel pashislot...
Ok, go back to 'work' on the babyfoot...
...while this time, the NO FEAR pinball is adopted by all the kids :
An other game that should be in all Gamerooms : Darts 8)
That gameroom is really huge... but don"t forget the pool to come soon
Ok, it's time for me to work on the mame computer.
In order to keep all the Soul Edge original parts, I'll configure a computer with an ArcadeVGA graphic card and use a JPAC... so the only thing I have to do on his cab is ...
Disconnet the original jamma pcb and connect the Jpac, like this :
... I'm 'working'....
... like others have some fun on pinbals
...this Gamerooms still looks very empty ... for the moment
OK... the work is done... Mame is now working fine... the Kids will have more games now
It's time for me to have some fun :P
(https://www.dragonslairfans.com/gameroom/pat/gp35.jpg)
These two pinballs are really fun to play... More I play on pinballs, more I like them... I NEED PINBALL(S) for my gameroom too !!! :P
While we are playing on pinballs.. the kids discover classics  GHOSTS'N'GOBLINS :P
(https://www.dragonslairfans.com/gameroom/pat/gp37.jpg)
Don't be affraid about arcade games for the futur... Kids will still loving them'
It was a great day... the born of a new Game Room :o 8) 8) 8)
More games to come here... so stay tuned

wow!! check out that duplex garage conversion, it's amaaaaaaaaaazing!!!!!!!!!!! check out the double height doors, you probably need a giant to push them open if they were thick and heavy!!
are you sure the winch has a load of 400kg?? it looks very haphazard to me!! looks like it was put together with a bit of wood and some old rope/ belt. think you did the right thing not to risk death with the pool table.
the conversion is just gorgeous, have i said that already?? i'd be a bit concern with the dart board though mixed with the kids. it's just so open and airy, lovely windows letting in plenty of light, and the feature wall in orange. i know nothing about interior design but i have to admire what your buddy has there.
now where's that worship/ i'm not worthy smiley?!?!

YoP Vib,
Well it should be able to carry a load of 400kg... but ... we won't take a risk with that beautifull pool table... now on location

i'm trying to figure out/ understand the layout of this room?!
when i'm looking at the room i see a doorway at the corner, but the photos you show where you are winching up the machines over the parked cars, the upper floor has exposed brick work.
so am i right in thinking that the games room is off to one side and not directly over the cars?? is the bit over the cars unfurnished?
