Title: Super Cobra cpo restauration
Post by: Belike on May 13, 2011, 07:33:03 PM
As you can see in this pic, my "new" Cobra's cpo is modified a bit and lacks the original instruction card.

The cpo was removed and I discovered an alu plate mounted with 2 spikes to the wooden part

The Lady Bug instruction card
(https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/_-UA8BV99Des/Tc1lxVS-LtI/AAAAAAAADYU/wUXD_7zLgWM/s800/cobra%20cpo%20003.jpg)
I removed all the strange stuff and cleaned the cpo, seems like it belonged to a Vanguard sometime, looks nice imho :D
(https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/_-UA8BV99Des/Tc1lx4moC7I/AAAAAAAADYc/hqJvAtMxNH4/s800/cobra%20cpo%20004.jpg)
Installed some new fire buttons from Bob R. and it's almost ready, except of that instruction card
(https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/_-UA8BV99Des/Tc1mdtE8LDI/AAAAAAAADZI/uiIJfrIgOow/s800/cobra%20cpo%20005.jpg)
At this point I will need some help, because I have no idea how is a Cobra instruction card looks like.
This one belongs to Scramble, if I won't find the original one, maybe I will ask one of our Vector Kings to reproduce this. ;)
The point of the game is the same, so I could live with this, until I can't find the original.

(viewable area)
It is 10X12,1 cm without those yellow bars on the top and the bottom.
Btw. I sent a p.m. to Shaun at jamma+, afaik he also has a Super Cobra. ;)

I have a Super Cobra and you're right that it's in storage :) When it comes over of course you're welcome to a hi-res scan of the instruction card.
Paul.

Again great work !!

After some color adjusting made by Etienne, it was printed out to a premium quality photo paper, the result is breath-taking! ;D
