.....mmmm, I think Q2 might be bad...... ;D ;D ;D
(For those not experienced with electronics, it should look like Q3.... the top is completely blown off )
Still, all the smoke damage is not from the transistor but from the resistor under it. Incidentally this is the second time I've seen this on a deflection PCB. First I got fixed easily by replacing all the small parts "in the area"...... :)
Thought it was just funny how sometimes parts damage :D

i dont see the pic ?

Should be OK now...

Was just looking at the board again and actually the smoke came from R7 (which is covered by the cap on the picture). It's completely broken in the center :)
Burn baby burn.
Bit strange that this is now the 2nd time to see the same thing. It's even stranger because this is the Y section (and this less loaded than the X section.....
O well.....let's just order parts and fix it :)
By the way, I have now 2 spare deflection PCB's I reckon that one is enough. So, I'm planning on fully re-working/building both spares and sell one. Any interest ? It will be 100% bullet-proof.

you don't happen to have a spare cabinet around it, do you? 8)

I'm afraid this is your spare....but hey, that baby will run like new :D
