i'm having some friends come over tonight to play some games, first time my mini arcade will get a whole bunch of visitors, some of which don't even know i collect arcade games. i'm looking forward to seeing their reaction though  8)

thx a lot guys! i've been working my a** of the last couple of days to finish my temporary gameroom - and i succeeded with 13 fully working games in there, only to have moon patrol and wizard of wor die on me one day before the party :(. probably two of my best games which would have got the most gameplay - but i can't fix them in time. sometimes i h-a-t-e this hobby - where's the computer to put in when you need one? ;)

thx a lot for all your kind word, guys! we had a blast indeed yesterday, a friend of mine played with his band in my apartment and of course we officially opened my new gameroom as well. first of all, i was happy that the ceiling withstood the pressure of 13 arcade cabinets PLUS the people playing them :o - i was indeed a little bit worried. interestingly enough, the games that got the most gameplay were pac-man and pac-mania. of course, the inevitable had to happen as well, DEFENDER died :'(. that's three games in three days - i was so happy that i had all of them up and running.
one thing i learned from yesterday: i EITHER have to set the games on freeplay OR adjust the coin mechs to accept tokens - it sucks when people can't play games because they have no idea of how to start one - and they have to wait until i'm available. this has to be one of my top priorities now!

i know, pics or it didn't happen - so i guess it didn't happen ;). i was simply caught up in the moment and wasn't in the mood of running around with my camera, but i'll take some pictures (and a video) over the next couple of days. stay with me though, i've got a budy week ahea of me ...

once again, thx for all the birthday wishes, you guys rule!!!

thx for thinking of me, guys. love the t-shirt, etienne, but when i'm honest i'm older than 41 - here's the fresh count:

looks: 35
feels: 50 (after some serious falls on my new skateboard yesterday)
acts: 10 (my mind still refuses to act like a 41-year old - hopefully it always will)

this makes me 95 as of today! but for a man of that age, i'm still going strong! :spaceace:

nothing really spectacular planned today (no party), going to grab some lunch with my family for lunch, then off to the sauna with some friends and to the cinema afterwards to watch the first star wars movie in 3D!!!

signing off, have to lick my (skateboarding) wounds now 8)

well, what can i say, the movie STILL sucked: jar jar binks, midichlorians, stupid dialogue, bad acting, crazy plot - everything is still there of course. i only went there for the 3d and unfortunately i was disappointed by that as well. a converted movie is just not the same as a movie that was originally filmed in 3d. while the conversion is better than in clash of the titans, it is far away from being perfect. all in all, if you didn't like the movie during its initial run, don't watch it again, it didn't get any better!
