or CLD 1600 or cld 2600 or ....
any laser player is enough that PAL standard and built in the years 90' from pioneer
the softercorner gave for alreadyso many titles but this it is not true...
for many of these games (firefox or SDQ for example) they need a genlock this complicated a lot of the system
even if the softercorner had done something to make to work the games with the genlock
however the softercorner put on in judicial troubles for no paid naver the copyrights !! ( DL .SA. TQ )
to notice that it gave for imminent also the titles of the system HANCHYON :
ORPHEUS
SHADOW OF THE STARS
VOYAGE TO THE NEW WORLD
this was impossible because never made !!!!!
( explained on DLP )
There were originally 6 games planned for the initial release of Halcyon, but due to the high cost of the unit, the system never made it into full production. A handful of promotional units were actually released, but only two of the original six game were completed.
it is for this she has disappeared before ending the systems
ok??
bye bye

YES!!!
you have choice:
CLD 2600
CLD 1500
ClD 1600
CLD 1700
CLD 600
ecc ecc ecc
enough that you check that is of manufacture years 90'
and obvious that is version PAL and with the port " control In "
The "control IN " it is a system been born to use only a remote control on different component pioneer .
:D :D :D

I have DragonsLair und ThayersQuest ld's, an CLD-925 and the interface cable but missing the disks.
Can somebody make an image of the floppy disks and email me them?
I want to test out this old stuff...
-
Hi Wepl,
As you can read on this post, I still have this disk, but to make a copy of it, I have to plug my old Amiga 500, which it's now in a box behind some huge items for my Galaxian 3 Theater game in the attic... so I can't access it for now :-\
Once I'll have access to that stuff, I'll be able to make a copy for you ;)
-
Thanks DarthNuno :)
That sounds very good.
If you have only a A500 its probably not so easy to make images to send them per email?!
Or did you intend to make copies and send me floppies? It would be fine too for me and I would pay the shipping.
Send per email would be surely the cheapest.
Please tell me if you need any assistance!
I'm waiting 8)

PLease note I don't have an Amiga up & running around my, so I hope such software exist on a PC :P

normal PC hardware cannot read Amiga disk, there is special hardware like the Catweasel (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catweasel-Controller) which can read it
but I assume you dont want get any extra hardware for this task
is there no Amiga near you?
maybe I can find someone near you with an Amiga...
Or would you send the disks via mail to me?
I would pay all services and return them to you after imaging.
I you have 2 floppy drives fdi could work, but I never tried it (http://www.oldskool.org/disk2fdi)

Hello everybody.
I'm a AMIGA Collector and found your nice website while looking for an interface-cable for connecting a Amiga to my laserdisc player.
Anyone of you know the pinouts or where to find such an interface?
Best regards,
Twanger
-
Hi Twanger,
I got my interface cable long time ago on ebay germany. I've never seen an other one for sale since... :-\
Maybe someone here who have it can examine the pinout? My cable is hidden somewhere in my attic and no more access to it for a while (huge Galaxian Theater parts I can't move alone), so I can't help for this atm.

Control cable for laserdisc player control in Software Corner LDG games - Amiga version.
Info by italiandoh (August 2010)
The Amiga cable to the laserdisc player consists in a 2 wire cable going from Amiga parallel port to the "CONTROL IN" mono jack female input of the Pioneer laserdisc player (early 90s home market models, PAL system, such as CLD-1500, CLD-1600, CLD-2600, CLD-2950 and compatibles).
Here's how it is done:
Amiga end -> 25 pin male centronics connector
LDP end -> male mono jack
The cable is a standard mono audio cable (signal and shield ground).
Signal goes from Amiga parallel port pin 3 to the LDP input via a 1 kohm resistor.
Signal ground is taken from Amiga parallel port pin 25.
If the Amiga computer and the laserdisc player are not connected to the same monitor or TV (for example Amiga has its own monitor and LDP is connected to a TV), it is possible that the system does not work. To fix this an additional ground connection between Amiga and LDP is needed: it can be implemented by connecting 1 wire from LDP ground (example any ground from RCA audio/video output connector of the LDP) and any Amiga port ground (for example composite video ground RCA output).
The LDG control software will only work on slower Amigas, i.e. A500 and A600. Other newer and faster models will not work.
Software Corner later released a infrared remote interface, mainly for PC versions of the control software. This is a totally different interface and plugs into the serial port instead of parallel (as far as I know). This interface was slightly more complex and required and external power supply. It basically consisted in a remote infrared control for the Pioneer laserdisc player controlled by the computer program.
For further questions or support requests, feel free to contact Software Corner (and say hi from me while you're at it) :)

Thank´s a lot!!
I´ll give that a try :)

Some weeks ago, I bought a Software Corner Dragon's Lair kit for the Amiga.
I connected the computer to my Pioneer CLD-S315 LD player (via control in) and was expecting to see the screens, familiar from this thread.
It seems that there are different versions of the control program available:
(http://mitglied.multimania.de/thalionsource/ebay/DL_Control_DarthNuno.gif) (http://mitglied.multimania.de/thalionsource/ebay/DL_Control_it.gif) (http://mitglied.multimania.de/thalionsource/ebay/DL_Control_ger.gif)
I uploaded the Italian version (DL_Control_it.zip - don't remember where I found it) and the version from my control disk (DL_Control_ger.zip) here (http://mitglied.multimania.de/thalionsource/ebay/).
I don't know what's wrong, but Dragon's Lair is unplayable on my setup. I've read online, that the laserdiscs from Software Corner are mastered with an offset to prevent the use in arcade machines (and vice versa). I play with a later version of the Software Corner Dragon's lair LD (not the relabeled arcade disc) - why doesn't the LD player jump to the correct frames (for example when I die in the second scene, the LD player plays the death scene from the first scene (draw bridge scene)).
I guess, either my LD player isn't fully compatible with the originally required LD players or my control program needs the arcade LD (I couldn't try Darth Nuno's version because I had problems transfering the disk image from PC to Amiga - although Amiga to PC worked).
Anyway, feel free to upload my DL control disks to Dragonslairfans.com.
-
Your disc should work fine with both italian and german version of the software. DarthNuno's version was meant to be used with the arcade Philips disc.
If it does not, your problem is elsewhere.
Good luck,
Matteo
